Enhanced Caregiver Pilot Programs

These programs are for home care workers, including child care providers and home support workers. Key features:
  • Permanent residency on arrival in Canada
  • Allows work for organizations providing temporary or part-time care
  • Requirements include language proficiency, education, work experience, and a full-time job offer

Rural Community Immigration Pilot

This program aims to bring newcomers to small rural communities in Canada. Applicants need:
  • Relevant work experience (can be waived for some international graduates)
  • At least a high school education
  • Job offer from a designated employer
  • Language proficiency
  • Sufficient funds
  • Intent to live in the designated community

Francophone Community Immigration Pilot

Designed to increase French-speaking newcomers in francophone communities outside Quebec. Requirements are similar to the Rural Pilot, with an emphasis on French language skills.

Manitoba's West Central Immigration Initiative

This three-year pilot aims to address labor shortages in Manitoba's rural west-central region. It will collaborate with local municipalities and First Nations to meet labor market needs.These new pathways offer various opportunities for immigrants with different skills and backgrounds to settle in Canada, particularly in rural and francophone communities.
